Privacy policy

The data controller is Joëlle Guerra, sole trader operating as The French Selection, reachable at hello@thefrenchselection.com.

The site's forms (booking, private walks, contact, opening alert) collect only what you type into them: name, email, phone, preferred date and message. We use it solely to answer you, organise your walk, and send the opening alert you asked for. We rely on pre-contractual and contractual necessity, and on your consent for the opening alert.

This site uses no advertising cookies and no audience-tracking scripts, which is why you see no cookie banner. If a privacy-respecting analytics tool is added later, this page will be updated first.

Your data is processed by our technical providers: Netlify (hosting and form handling) and OVHcloud (email). It is never sold or shared for marketing. Some providers may process data outside the EU under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Booking data is kept for the duration of our relationship, then archived as French accounting law requires. Messages without a booking, and alert sign-ups, are kept at most three years after the last contact.

You may access, correct, delete, object to, restrict or port your data by writing to hello@thefrenchselection.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr). The French version of this policy prevails.
