Two walks, two villages inside Paris

Batignolles

3 h · 4–12 guests · 8–10 stops · departs 10 am & 2 pm · English or French

A covered market that still feeds its own street, the square where Impressionism argued itself into being, and the quiet lanes Parisians keep for themselves. The village behind the boulevards.

€110 weekdays · €130 weekends · launch rate €89

View the Batignolles walk

Montmartre

3 h · 4–12 guests · 8–10 stops · departs 10 am & 2 pm · English or French

Not the postcard hill: the one underneath it. Vineyard rows, workshop doors, counters that remember the artists as neighbours rather than legends, one tasting at a time.

€110 weekdays · €130 weekends · launch rate €89

View the Montmartre walk

Montmartre Belle Époque

evening walk · departs 8 pm

Absinthe, cabarets and the artists who drank there. Montmartre after dark, told by gaslight.

Eiffel Tower quarter

in preparation

The village at the tower’s feet, beyond the queue.

Saint-Ouen flea market

in preparation

Four centuries of objects, one morning of stories.

A neighbourhood is not a backdrop

It is a living memory. Each walk is a sensory plunge into a story no monument remembers, where every tasting opens a door: to the history the postcard erased, and to the vibrant present of Paris.

Why we walk this way

From the Journal

Good to know

Is the food included, and is it a meal?

Yes, every tasting is included in the price, and there are seven to ten of them along the walk. Guests regularly tell us they skip lunch afterwards, so come hungry.

How large are the groups?

Never more than twelve guests, and we are happy to run a walk from four. Small groups are the whole point: you can hear, ask, and taste without queuing.

What if it rains?

The walk goes ahead in light rain, with more time under cover and at the counters. If the weather makes the walk unsafe or joyless, we cancel it ourselves and you choose between a full refund and a new date.
