Why “The French Selection”?
Because the rarest thing in a city this full is someone who chooses for you, carefully, and can tell you why.
Paris does not lack food tours, lists, maps or rankings. What it lacks is editing. Thirty-odd private walks since 2023 taught us the same lesson at every counter: our guests did not want more addresses, they wanted fewer and better ones, each with its reason attached. A selection, in the old sense of the word: few things, chosen slowly, defended personally.
The name also states a promise about how we choose. Every stop on a walk earns its place three times over: the quality has to be real, the welcome has to be genuine, and there has to be a story worth telling, because a neighbourhood is not a backdrop, it is a living memory. Each walk is built as a sensory plunge into a history no monument remembers, where every tasting opens a door to what the postcard erased, and to the vibrant present of Paris.
And “French” rather than “Parisian”, because Paris is where we begin, not where we intend to stop. The selection will grow the way it started: one neighbourhood at a time, on foot, with the people who make it worth tasting.
Wander. Taste. Remember.
